assets with 24 DC power supply.
For unpowered vessels: MAT2 satellite transceiver with
internal battery pack (lasting 7 days before recharge),
battery chargers, additional power packs and solar panels
to extend voyage time.
MAT: Zoomed in map showing geo-zone

Yacht tracking
We utilise the easily installed, compact Purplefinder
DSAS-L advanced satellite transceiver terminal with
integrated GPS receiver and programmable processor.
The service provides coverage throughout the world,
utilising the Inmarsat system of geostationary satellites
and the proven and dependable Inmarsat D+ protocol,
ensuring maximum quality of service and rapid message
delivery.
The Purplefinder terminal continuously monitors your
yacht, automatically transmitting its precise location,
allowing it to be tracked via the dedicated Purplefinder
website and/or forwarded to nominated SMS or Email addresses.
The precise Location and Tracking of the vessel can
be viewed online, using any desktop or laptop computer
connected to the Internet and your secure password login.
The Purplefinder web interface, allows interrogation
of the satellite terminal for a current position report
or remote change of the terminal tracking frequency.
In addition, the user-friendly web interface allows
you to setup nominated contact names, mobile phone numbers
and Email addresses for automatic SMS and Email notifications.
It is possible to configure the service to automatically
alert owners (via SMS or Email) of any unauthorized
movement of a vessel outside a predetermined zone.
Benefits include better management of your fleet, optimized
revenue yield, increased safety, and prevention of unauthorized
use of vessels.
Benefits for Yacht Chartering
Increased Revenue : An essential tool for logistics
and efficient management of your fleet. The system allows
charter managers not only to increase security and peace
of mind but also to aid maximum usage and therefore
increased charter revenue.
Decreased Operating Costs : The tracking system is
discreet and can be used for security against theft
and misuse of the yacht by charter guests who decide
to go 'off the beaten track'. This added security may
be used by charter companies to reduce insurance premiums.
The system allows monitoring of individual yachts or
a complete fleet.
Pole Star's range of marine fleet management and security
solutions business has progressively grown since 1998
to include over 500 shipping companies and associated
organisations operating in excess of 10,000 vessels.
Core to this success has been the Purplefinder web application
- a secure, reliable and cost effective system.
PurpleFinder is now being incorporated into business-to-business
solutions to enable global, real-time monitoring and
exception-based reporting of such parameters as equipment
vibration, and geo-verification of OWS, Ballast and
NOx/SOx operations
