The SOLAS V/19-1 Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT)
regulation came into force on the 31-December 2008. The introduction
of LRIT enables the monitoring of vessels at sea and provides
an identification of potential threats.
As an experienced supplier and installer of SSAS systems
and vessel tracking software, Aeoliki Marine can provide cost
effective solutions to meet the SOLAS requirements. We offer
LRIT conformance testing on both the Inmarsat and Iridium
networks.
We provide a web based system for the LRIT conformance test
where shipowners can have their own account. With this account
you can initiate tests at any time and review the progress
and status of your tests. The system provides error messages
and suggests corrective action on failed equipment. Once you
initiate your tests, we will manage all aspects of the test,
including: terminal commissioning, satellite communications
network management, post-test de-commissioning, production
of a detailed test result and provision of a LRIT Conformance
Test Report (certificate) if required.
Ship operators who test their LRIT terminals with us will
also be offered a free trial of our vessel tracking service.
COMPLIANCE TESTING : This can be completed normally within 48
hours from the moment the test is initiated with us. To become
fully compliant, the vessel must have a Conformance Test Report
(certificate). We have put in place a Fast Track service for
certification, which allows shipowners to obtain a Conformance
Test Report within 24 hours of request
LRIT EQUIPMENT options : Where the existing onboard equipment
is not suitable or a stand-alone LRIT solution is required,
we would recommend the installation of a dedicated LRIT terminal.
Owners have the choice of two LRIT equipment packages that
include the LRIT Conformance Test.
