Fleet Management
The Fleet Management range of products is used by shipping
lines, ship managers, owners and charterers to track their
fleets and manage operational productivity.
Pole Star's Fleet Management system is a powerful web-based
service providing a highly effective way of monitoring and
managing vessel movements in real time. Designed for companies
operating fleets of all types including owners, charterers
and commercial managers, the system offers accurate reporting
of your fleets' position and status. It incorporates weather
forecasting, marine charts, communications capability and
voyage planning tools.
To track your vessel, you may be able to use an existing
Inmarsat C transceiver such as the GMDSS terminal already
installed on most ocean-going vessels. However, if you prefer
the superior reliability of a dedicated transceiver, you can
purchase the dedicated transceiver FMSat D+ kit.
The Fleet Management Service Options include features such
as:
